Plaintiff’s Counsel: Most Jurors
‘Didn’t Show Up’ for Return to Court

since right before the closures in March 2020
due to COVID-19 precautions—returned to a
jury trial June 3.
But most of the potential jurors called for jury
duty didn’t show.
“I was advised that about 100 people were called,
but only about a third of them showed up,” Robin-
son said Monday. “It tells me that people who are
still concerned about COVID might have chosen
not to come. That number seems very high to me.”
Asked if the low turnout for jury selection in the
Bridgeport trial was normal and comparative to
other juries, Rhonda Hebert, a spokesperson for
the Connecticut Judicial Branch said the branch
