Surviving and Thriving: Nominations Open
        for Connecticut Legal Awards

                                       By Michael Marciano

Following a successful celebration of professional
excellence this year, The Connecticut Law Tribune
is now accepting nominations in 16 categories for
the annual Connecticut Legal Awards. Our 2020
event was hosted virtually in October due to CO-
VID-19, and we are anticipating going virtual once
more next year. The online ceremony will take place
in May 2021.
Connecticut’s best lawyers, law firms and offi-
ciators are again invited to participate by making
nominations and spreading the word that the Nut-
meg State’s legal community is among the proudest,
and most accomplished, in the nation.
Winners from across the state will again be hon-
ored in a video program, which will include the
annual announcement of Connecticut’s Attorney
of the Year. The current title holder of that honor is
Leslie King of Carlton Fields, who earned the award
for her work with the City of Hartford in success-
fully resolving a major contractual dispute with the
fired developer of the city’s minor-league baseball
stadium. Attorney of the Year finalists were Franca
DeRosa of Brown Rudnick and Brenden Leydon of
Wocl Leydon.
