Postponed Again: CT Federal
Jury Trials Still Months Away

As COVID-19 cases in Connecticut continue
to grow and as health officials worry about
a new strain of the virus, administrators
in both state and federal courts have announced
there will continue to be a pause in both criminal
and civil jury trials.
On the state side, where jury trials were slated
to resume Nov. 2, 2020, and then were pushed
back to Dec. 31, there is uncertainty on when they
might resume.
“The Judicial Branch continues to monitor the
pandemic, and no date has been set to resume jury
trials,” said Judicial Branch spokeswoman Rhonda
